In around 50% of postmenopausal women, decreasing estrogen levels result in vaginal atrophy. Blissel\u00ae (0.05 mg estriol\/g vaginal gel) and Estrokad (0.03 mg estriol\/pessary) are vaginal preparations, with a very low dose of estriol, used in the treatment of vaginal atrophy in postmenopausal women. Blissel\u00ae has demonstrated that the effect on vaginal mucous membrane results in positive effects on sexual health, leading to increased quality of life.<\/p>\r\n
