The restoration of the vaginal ecosystem, whether after antibiotic treatment or as a treatment for low hormone levels due to the genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM) is of highest importance for affected women. Prof. Dr. Gilbert Donders from the Hospital Antwerp will explain the negative outcomes of a dysbalanced vaginal ecosystem, the high susceptibility for vaginal infections without proper restoration and will further elucidate treatment options along with newest study results, also in menopause. He will further discuss the use of hormones in breast cancer patients.
