Vaginal atrophy, a typical symptom of the Genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM) affects many menopausal women but can also be found in younger women during pregnancy or nursing. Therefore, the term “GSM” includes many different diagnoses in one, possibly leading to confusion or worse neglection of specific signs. In this Webinar, Professor Rossella Nappi will explain the predisposition and typical symptoms for vaginal atrophy as well as the impact on quality of life and how to separate from other signs of GSM. Further, ongoing clinical studies and treatment options will be discussed, including the combination of estriol and lactobacilli.
